Ethan Rubenzer Spirit of the Eagle Scholarship

Ethan Rubenzer was a vibrant 11 year old whose life was cut short tragically from an automobile accident in 2019. Ethan was a Scout in Boy Troop 413 in Boiling Springs, SC and a student at High Point Academy.. Ethan received the Spirit of the Eagle honor for his selfless gift of life that he gave to several people by choosing to be an organ donor at a young age. His parents, Patti and Trevor Rubenzer have contributed seed money to start a college scholarship in Ethan’s name for the Scouts. The scholarship will be awarded to an Eagle Scout (girl or boy since girls are now in scouting and progressing toward the Eagle rank) and will be awarded based anonymous essays each year.
